Our Doctor
Meet Dr. Osayomore Eguakun
Owner and Dentist
As a dentist, I have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives every day, from getting a patient out of pain so that they can finally have a restful night, to restoring smiles for improved health, self-esteem and confidence. However, the best part of my job is building relationships with my patients. Over the past several years I have met truly fascinating people from my community, and the friendships we’ve established are priceless.
Credentials and Continuing Education
I was born in Nigeria and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from University of Benin. I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and received my Master of Microbiology from North Carolina State University. I was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee in 2005.
While in dental school, I received numerous awards, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and was fortunate to have graduated at the top of my class. I also served as the Chief Resident in the postgraduate General Practice Residency Program at Meharry School of Dentistry.
I consider myself a “forever student” with a passion for personal and professional growth, so having the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques that I can implement is very important to me. I’ve implemented sedation techniques to help patients with dental anxiety or those who want to accomplish more procedures per visit receive the oral health they deserve. I also keep current on implant, restorative, preventive and cosmetic dentistry to help patients renew, rejuvenate, and preserve their smiles. You are never fully dressed without a smile!
I currently live in the Middle Tennessee area with my husband and two lovely daughters. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and cherish time with my friends and family.
I proudly support several in-school and afterschool programs in the Murfreesboro area. We visit early-learning centers to educate our leaders of tomorrow about the importance of caring for their oral health and choosing healthy foods. Ultimately helping the children achieve better overall health!
