So, how does SureSmile work?
Your treatment starts with a consultation to evaluate your smile and understand your treatment goals. If you are a candidate for clear aligners, Dr. Eguakun will take digital scans of your smile and create a personalized plan to guide your teeth to optimal alignment. Even before your treatment starts, SureSmile technology can predict when and how your teeth move at every treatment stage. This allows you to preview your smile before committing to treatment.
During the next few days, our partner dental lab will fabricate your customized aligners. Once you receive them, you can begin treatment. You’ll need to wear your aligners for 20-22 hours daily. Only remove your aligners during meals or when flossing and brushing your teeth.
About every two weeks, you’ll switch your aligners to the next in the series. Gradually, your aligners move your teeth into a healthier, straighter position. During treatment, you’ll visit our office every 6-8 weeks to check your treatment progress. Once your aligners finally come off, we’ll give you a retainer to prevent your teeth from relapsing.
